Charity Funsite
have fun - help others

Welcome

I'd like to tell you a bit about a subject very dear to my heart; my favourite charity, and how you can help it raise valuable funds
by having fun.

'Can't be so?'  Well I dare you to read on and find out that it really is true. Find out how you can:-
  • take part in special events like Abseiling, Parachuting,
Aerial Slides or Marathons, and raise loads of money, or
  • become a volunteer, gain some great experience and
    raise even more money !!!
  • Go on - it'll take just a few moments
to find out what I'm raving on about.

    OVERVIEW OF THIS WEBSITE
(primarily for web search engines to use).
This "charity funsite" site is owned by me, Neil Surridge, a London based, volunteer fundraiser with the British (UK) charity RNIB, the Royal National Institute of the Blind (formerly the Royal National Institute for the Blind).
I consider the RNIB one of the best "disability" charities in the UK and have been fundraising with them since 1991. The RNIB exists to help all visually impaired (blind or partially sighted) people in Britain to lead normal lives.
The aim of this site is to encourage people to do one of two things:
  • join the RNIB volunteers team and by volunteering help raise much needed funds or help
disabled people in a one-to-one capacity
  • or, get sponsored to take part in fun, challenging and exciting events and activities.
These can include fundraisers like abseiling, parachuting with the Red Devils, or an assault
course like that at Sandhurst Military Academy. Or a really fun event like human table
football could help you fundraise, to help disabled people throughout the UK.
Also provided is background information. And some fun stuff.
